What to blog?

Here I sit, thinking, contemplating what to write about? do I make this my personal journal? Like the character in last nights rerun of House where she puts the decision of which artificial heart valve (plastic or pig) should she receive, up to her readers. The question of whether she was looking for an audience or some feed back was asked. Privacy is definitely an issue in this happy home. *Note to self, do not mention mothers maiden name on blog* When I think of blogging, I think of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City. Over the course of a week she contemplates a particular issue that happens to coincide with the goings on in her sex life, reflects on the issue with her friends and by week end has acquired some lesson for life. Man, I miss that show. But I don't miss the gratuitous graphic scenes -although juicy, just a little too much for me. I prefer my home a little more G rated. (what? when did that happen) Maybe I should blog about politics but I know I'm not nearly as succinct and poignant as Pat Buchanan, so although I have my opinions, I think I'll leave that one to the professionals (if there is such a thing). What really brought this blogging thing to the forefront, for me, has been the homeschooling community. So many smart moms re-evaluating their priorities, dropping their own careers and luxuries to the bottom of the list and bringing the great big universe of education into their homes and choosing to raise their children themselves completely. So maybe I should say just a little about me (without giving my social security number) and leave the rest to fate. I'm an at home mom trying to find a way to stay that way (National Guard, anyone?) so any support you can give helps!. With a good man that's supported me when I quit my job, now I'm trying to find a way to help support our family while he pursues a career closer to his heart. We have a couple of genius children, (OK they may not be certifiable, but I believe in them) some entertaining pets, and a circle of friends and family that never cease to give from their hearts and minds in endearing and annoying ways that we love, and love to smack. I like to read, sew, travel, hike, fish, write, oh and save money. so maybe I'll write some reviews. I guess I should say something of my goals. In highschool, wasn't that always a requirement? "List your goals" "eat lunch" I'll just mention a single goal, giving my toddler son a head start. I may not be at the level of those brilliant homeschooling moms, but I've started down the road. Who know where this blogging thing will lead, maybe it will just be good to get my thoughts out of my head. Maybe I'll never have to go back to work again, Ha! Hope is a great thing.
